Caravan Talk is all about the latest properties which are being listed.

In effect Caravan Talk lets you ride along with Realtors® who are often seeing properties for the first time.

I will provide my comments on the property and a link to the MLS listing.

If you see a property that interests you, just pick up the phone and give me a ring at 252 646-8689.

And now, here are the Caravan Talk properties from our caravan of September 22, 2009.

A 2.65 acre horse farm just off Highway 24 just minutes from the beaches of Emerald Isle was our first stop. The property has an older farm house with 2,158 square feet and was built in 1980. There is also a three stall barn that comes with the property. Finding a property close to beach with space for horses does not happen often. The price is $245,000

Next we visited a very cute Cape Cod in Lake Arthur Estates. The home sits on just under one half acre and even has a white picket fence. The house also has no carpet in it for those looking for a home with just wood floors. Most of the floors are laminated wood. The price has just been reduced to $219,900.

We then headed towards Cedar Point and drove down towards the water to visit Unit C-13 at Cedar Point Villas. This was my first visit to Cedar Point Villas since they finished their major upgrade last year. The Villas look great. They have new siding, windows, and many other upgrades. Unit C-13 is a two bedroom, two bath unit with a view of the Intracoasta Waterway and a great screened porch. Cedar Point Villas has a nice boat ramp, dock and swimming pool. The ground floor unit is priced at $239,000.

The third home on morning trip was a new home under construction in Bluewater Cove. The home is priced at $329,000. Bluewater Cove is a very nice waterfront community with clubhouse, pool, boat ramp, day dock, and boat storage. Bluewater Cove is where I live, so I highly recommend the community for those looking for a place with access to the water and close to the area services. I can be in Cape Carteret in seven minutes.

After Bluewater Cove, we went across the street to Steep Hill Drive and viewed a two story home on two-thirds of an acre with a large back yard. The property has four bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms and is listed for $214,900. This is a great neighborhood for kids. Last summer I heard the ice cream truck making call in there.

From Steep Hill Drive we headed to White Horse Ridge which is just after T&Ws Oyster House on Route 58. I had a great meal of Dungeness Crab there last night.

White Horse Ridge offers some of the most affordable single family housing close to the Emerald Isle beaches. It turns out that 310 Appaloosa Court is also the lowest priced home listed in MLS in White Horse Ridge. The house has 1,173 square feet and sits on just over one-third acre. This is a relatively new home built in 2002 with three bedrooms and two baths and is listed for $153,500. You will be hard pressed to find a better home value.

For our final stop of the day we headed up Highway 58 to Morristown Road and turned onto Wetherington Landing Road which took us to White Oak Bluffs which is another great waterfront community on the White Oak River.

As it turned out, we had saved the most impressive home for last. The house at 275 White Oak Bluffs provides exceptional privacy, space, and amenities. The home has 3,389 square feet with a brick and stone exterior along with four bedrooms and 3.5 baths. With beautiful floors and tray ceilings, this home will please the most discriminating buyer. White Oak Bluffs offers deeded water access with a community boat ramp.

That is it for this trip. Look for regular updates at this space.
